CHAPTER 3
Pritvi meets his parents
Prutvi and Arvind entered the hut. Everyone
looked at them. Seeing his parents, Prutvi was very happy. Arvind too smiled.
The couple looked at their son anxiously. Prutvi clutched his mother’s hands
and sat near her. Arvind too sat nearby. Srimati caressed Prutvi’s head.
Srimati looked at Prutvi lovingly. “How are you, my
son?”
Prutvi smiled. He looked at Swamiji with respect and
love. “With the grace of Swamiji, I am fine.”
Srimati caressed Arvind’s head. “Arvind, how are you?”
Arvind smiled. “I am fine, aunty.”
“I know you too are such great friends, that you
cannot be separately. Now both of you have got admission in the same college.
It is all gods’ will.”
Swami laughed. “2 years after Prutvi came here, I
found this boy. His parents had expired. He was only 5 years then. Since that
day, they both became such close friends. I am happy that they both got
admission in the same college.”
Prutvi looked at his mother’s face. “You said that you
will come yesterday.”
Randir said, “We landed at the airport, we came
directly to see you. Arvind, I am happy that you will be with Prutvi in Mumbai.
You don’t worry. I will look after your expenses.”
Arvind looked at Swami. “Thank you, sir. But Swamiji is
there.”
Swami laughed. “Arvind, my boy, this whole ashram is
running because of them. You all are not just my children but also their
children.”
Randir looked at the boys. “By god’s grace and
Swamiji’s blessings and because of your hard work, you both have got admission
in a college in Mumbai. You have been brought up with such good morality. You
must keep it pure there too and bring fame to swamiji and this ashram. This is
my goal and that is why I have never taken Prutvi to my country.”
Prutvi spoke confidently. “I love Swamiji, I love this
ashram and I love this country.”
Randir said, “I am giving you enough money. You can
put it in the bank. Later I will send more money to the bank itself.”
Swami looked at the boys. “In Matunga, I have one
disciple, Danalaxmi.”
He gave a letter to Prutvi. “You give this letter to
her. She will give you a house in her compound to live in.”
He gave a letter to Prutvi.
Prutvi said gratefully, “Ok Swamiji.”
Swamiji looked at the boys seriously. “But there is
one thing.”
Prutvi was surprised. “What Swamiji?”
“She is a very good lady but a bit rough. She wants
her word to be the law. Everyone there is afraid of her. Even her husband fears
her. But if you are clever and succeed in pleasing her, she will melt like
butter.”
Prutvi laughed. “Lucky you told me that. No problem. I
will manage everything.”
Randir said happily, “I will give you both a motorbike
as gift.”
Prutvi and Arvind were pleased to hear this.
Prutvi said, “Thank you daddy.”
Arvind said, “Thank you uncle.”
